Hi there,
it depends on what colours you want to breed.

Hi
I'm not particularly looking for special colours, just wanted to know what options I have when mixing the various colours. Thanks for answering.

I would be putting the blue cock with the lutino hen Laraine, I'm not too sure about the rest, I am putting my Lutino Cock with my blue opaline hen this year I think the colours will be really interesting.

I don't now if the lutino cock is split for other colors otherwise you will breed:
cocks: natural split opaline/lutino/blue hens: lutino/blue
Replying to Laraine.
Blue to Blue gives 100% blue I don't now what you mean by opaline green or opaline yellow but if the opaline yellow is a opaline-ino what i think it is.
Opaline Green to Opaline gives 100% Opaline Opaline-ino to Lutino gives Lutino split Opaline cocks and Opaline-ino hens Cinnamon to Platinum gives Natural split to cinnamon platinum cocks and Cinnamon cocks
With this combinations you will have the most colours, otherwise you will breed more natural cocks which are split for different colours.
I'll hope this will help you.
Greetings Edwin.

I have been told that you may even get an Albino Laraine, all the experts will probably tell me I'm wrong here but I did read in a book by Toby Martin that a blue combined with a lutino will produce an albino. Toby Martin lectured at many aviculture meetings and has lectured in England, Sweden, Denmark and the US he founded and was president the grass parrot and Lorikeet Society of Australia so I think he might know a thing or two about grassies.

Unfortunately this pairing are only going to give you normal coloured birds with the hen split to blue and the cocks split blue & lutino.
Both birds need to be split, ie: Blue/lutino cock x Lutino/Blue hen = Albino
Hope this helps

I wouldn't even mind another lutino? I'm going to try that combination.

I am trying it Laraine I love the Lutino birds and the one you got off me was such a pretty bird if it is her you are talking about putting with your blue I'm sure you will get some nice birds out of that pairing, she had a lot of white in her tail feathers.
