john i will tell you what the first pairings were. the first time that i put grey-green to platinum was about 3 years ago. i put a normal/platinum x grey-green/blue together. they breed 5 young, 2 grey-green cocks and 3 grey-green platinum hens, all but 1 hen died, and she is in the the second picture and is the oldest one that either of us have, and i beilieve was the first one breed full stop. then last year i put a blue platinum x grey-green/blue, a different hen to the first pair. this is the pair in the last photo. and they had 4 young, green/ blue/plat(c , platinum/blue (h), grey-green/plat/blue (c) and a grey/platinum (c) this is the bird in the first photo. and now this year the pair in the first photo, grey/plat x platinum opaline/blue had 2 clutch's consisting of 8 young, 2 grey-green platinum hens, one died unfortunatly, and the grey-green platinum/blue/opaline. now this year he's going to be paired up nicely, that i won't be telling you about, or what else the other hens are going. this is one of two colours that i have been trying to breed for the last few years and in that time they are really the only colour's that i have been concentrating on, unfurtunatly i haven't got enough cage's to have all the other colour all at the same time.

to tell you the truth jodabry i i'm not that fazzed that i didn't breed a grey plat this year. the gg plat cock is good enough, and he looks really nice, and the hens are just that different. just look at the second picture i posted and you'll see what i mean. and as fair as the blue plat pied, i've been chasing this for 3 years, and still nothing. breed a platinum pied/blue hen this year, but still no cookie.

hi again everyone, i'll start by saying that unlike most breeders from around the country, i had my best saeson so far. most of you wouldn't know but in nov 05, i went overseas's for 6 months, so my birds where in a bit of trouble. thankfully i had a good friend in oaklee help me out by taking a few pair and leaving a few at home for the famialy to look after. i wasn't in vain cause the season wasn't a waste, and quite a few young where put on the perch. anyways we jump onto the 06/07 season. this time between oaklee and myself we had put down about 30pr of grassies. we got some dissapointments and excitment all the way through the season. i breed a couple more gg platinum males, and females. also a grey platinum female. from another pair we breed 2 birds that we aren't shore yet to what they are truly. the first one i think is a grey-green cinnamon blue platinum, and the other one should be a grey-green cinnamon blue platinum opaline, both birds are females. we also have a grey plat male on the perch, which is a stunning bird. think of a grey male, and then was him down so that he is really light in a washed out light grey. i have also finaly breed a blue platinum pied bird. it's a hen bird and she looks bueatiful. but i must admit that i thourght that she was going to look different to what she is. anyways i think that this is all the main excitting birds that i can think about of the top my head. hopefuly in the coming weeks i'll be able to post some of the pictures up for everyone to see. oh, just one thing.i remember i posted up a picture of the gg platinum cock bird i breed last year, what a chage he made when he cloured up, one of the best birds that i have ever seen. anyways speak to you all soon, ryan.
