I am posting these pictures for ena she has asked me to put them up so you can tell her what colours they are and what combination she would get. She would also like to know what sex they are if possible John

Thank you John. The top one is male 1st clutch 05, next is mum and I"d say male 22nd clutch,2nd clutch masked male as i'd call him and 2nd clutch female. I'd like to know what colour to call them and what breeding should I consider next season. Thank you, ena

hello ena they are the blue variety in the red rumps. the easiest way to tell the difference from male to female with blues is the hens have black or grey heads and face and the cocks have blue heads and face. with the babies i would now introduce cinnamon and opaline to them to eventually breed cinnamon blue opalines. i posted a photo of a cinnamon blue opaline cock in my photo today.
regards oaklee.

In the first picture Matt that bird seems to have a lot of grey in the wings is this just the colour variation or is it a mutation? it strikes me as unusual.

Thank you silvercloud, They are the ones to get me looking into more, found some local breeders that will help this family grow. More colours. They are a very lovely bird. Naming them is getting harder though, lol
