Can anyone explain what are the differences in colour between Lime cock and Lutino lime cock.
If someone had photos of the 2 it would probably help explain the differences.
Cheers

okay this is a lutino lime cock bird. the hen is a lime opaline. now see with him he has yellow or light coloured wing flights. well i don`t have a photo of a lime cock but there whole body is looks like the head of this cock bird just not as bright. the cocks still have a red rump. they look like a brighter coloured cinnamon.

well mallee1, i don't own any lime bird, but know my fair share about them. basicly the cinnamon, lime and platinum are very similar colours. there colour shades are remarkably similar, and also act much the same when mixed in with other mutations with the exception of the cinnamon gene. this is the case because the cinnamon doesn't have the cross-over gene. now with the colour shades, out of the three, the cinnamon is the darker one, then what i have been told by people who have had year of experiance, the lime is approximatly 50% of the cinnamon colour, and the platinum is approximatly 20-30% of the cinnamon. in time to come myself and oaklee i presume will post extra information and pictures to show and explain the difference between all three and how they interact.

Thanks guys, I know the lutinolime cocks but wasnt sure of what the differences were between them was and as far I what you have said the lime cock is more green colour and cinnamon through flights and the lutinolime is a light lighter (whiter) through flights and back with brighter green to head.
