OK guys & gals, here's the situation. My very first red rumps were a cinnamon male I bought from a guy in Daytona and an opaline hen I bought in Orlando... the sellers were unrelated. (I don't like buying proven pairs because there's usually a problem... but there are exceptions)... anyway, they bred and I got a normal male, cinnamon female & pied (male I believe)... So I thought cool beans, both my birds are split for pied... Next year, same pair gave me 2 pieds, 1 cinnamon pied & 1 cinnamon. niice. I had kept back the normal male from the first year... Now he's about 2 years old and I paired him with a normal hen I bought locally here in Miami... Lowe & behold, I have a pied baby. Sooo, there are 2 scenarios... either I have had the stupendous luck of buying 3 birds from different people hours apart from each other that are all split for pied, OR I have come across Dominant Pied. Can anybody help me? ? Attachments:
